Reed diffusers are great home fragrances. They continuously scent your home for weeks on end and you can leave them unattended without the worry of a naked flame. You can control the fragrance strength, get a burst of fragrance when you choose to, and looking after them is super easy!
REED DIFFUSER LOVE 101: YOUR Q’S ANSWERED
Reed diffusers are so easy to use: simply unscrew the cap or remove the bung and protective foam circle, insert the reeds through the top of the diffuser, sit back and relax. The scented oil will work its way up the reeds, fragrancing your space for months. Magic!
And with a little bit of TLC, you can make sure they last as long as possible and scent your space how you want them to. Keep reading to find out how.
Q: HOW CAN I MAKE MY REED DIFFUSER LAST LONGER?
There are many factors that contribute to how long your reed diffuser will last.
➕ Air conditioning
➕ Closed doors
➕ Open doors
➕ Air purifiers
➕ Size of your space
Our 200ml reed diffusers should last for approximately 8-10 months, but ultimately this will depend on the temperature of your home. Keep them in a draught-free, shady and cool environment, this will help your diffusers last much longer than if you place them on a warm, sunny windowsill.
Q: HOW CAN I CONTROL THE STRENGTH OF MY REED DIFFUSER?
Yes you can control the strength of your diffuser, to a degree!
Simply add or remove reeds – the stronger the scent you want, the more reeds you’ll need to add, and vice versa, if you prefer a more subtle scent, remove a few reeds.
Q: HOW CAN I ADD A BURST OF FRAGRANCE TO MY SPACE?
To add a burst of fragrance to your space, simply turn your reeds over and place the top end of the reeds into the liquid. Or light a matching candle xx
Q: CAN I LIGTH MY REEDS?
You should never light the reeds in your diffuser. Our reed diffuser base is alcohol-based and flammable. If you want to burn anything, choose from our huge range of scented candles.
Q: CAN I USE THE SAME REEDS MORE THAN ONCE?
If your new diffuser is a different scent, we definitely suggest using a fresh set of reeds, so the new fragrance doesn’t get contaminated by the old. If your new diffuser is the same scent, the same reeds could be fine, but will not be as effective as a set of brand new reeds.
The short answer: you should always use a fresh set of reeds with a new diffuser.
